The National Service Scheme (NSS) District Secretariat, in partnership with the local National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) and the Adansi South District Assembly, has successfully organized the annual District National Service Games in New Edubiase.
The sports fiesta brought together National Service Personnel (NSPs) deployed across local government departments, health centers, basic and senior high schools, and private user agencies within the district. The event was designed to promote physical fitness, team cohesion, stress relief, and healthy networking among service personnel.

The multi-discipline sports event featured competitive and friendly matches across various disciplines:

Football Tournament: Male service personnel competed in friendly knockout fixtures, pitching teams representing Decentralized Departments/Administration against those from the Education and Health sectors.

Volleyball & Netball: Female personnel and mixed teams participated in high-energy volleyball and netball matches, showcasing team spirit and athletic talent.

Indoor & Track Activities: The games also featured track events (100m sprint, relay races) and indoor games including Ludo, Chess, Draughts, and Table Tennis.

Networking and Team Building: Beyond competition, the event provided a relaxed platform for personnel to interact, build professional networks across sectors, and foster mutual support during their service tenure.

Addressing the personnel at the closing ceremony, representatives from the Adansi South District Assembly and the District NSS Secretariat commended the high level of sportsmanship and enthusiasm displayed.
