The National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) Executive Body, headed by the District NASPA President, in collaboration with the Adansi South District Secretariat of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and the Adansi South District Assembly, conducted a key sensitization and training session on Workplace Discipline and Professional Development for all service personnel in the district.
The meeting, held on Monday, 20th July, 2026, at the District Assembly Hall in New Edubiase, focused on reinforcing professional standards, evaluating mid-year performance, and guiding personnel on maximizing skills acquisition during their service period.

Key Deliberations and Core Themes
The session focused on aligning service personnel with public sector expectations as the administrative year progresses:
-
Workplace Discipline and Institutional Ethics: The NASPA President reiterated the need for punctuality, appropriate professional attire, and strict adherence to organizational chain of command. Service personnel stationed across Assembly departments, basic/senior high schools, and health centers were urged to maintain high integrity and avoid absenteeism.
-
Capacity Building & Career Readiness: Personnel were encouraged to treat their service tenure as a dynamic practical internship. The leadership urged them to take initiative, seek practical tasks—such as administrative writing, technical IT support, field operations, and data management—and build strong, professional work portfolios.
-
Compliance with Monthly Validation Protocols: As the end of July approaches, personnel were reminded of the administrative discipline required in processing their Monthly Evaluation Forms. Ensuring forms are properly endorsed by Heads of Department (HODs) and uploaded on time was highlighted as essential for avoiding allowance delays.
-
Addressing Personnel Concerns: The forum allowed personnel to voice operational challenges at their respective posting stations. Management and NASPA executives assured the gathering that issues regarding station logistics and inter-departmental engagements are being actively addressed.
Address by the NASPA President
In his main address, the NASPA President charged the service personnel to take full ownership of their professional growth:
“Discipline is not about restrictions; it is the core foundation of a successful career. The habits you build here at the Adansi South District Assembly—how you handle deadlines, communicate with superiors, and solve problems—will set you apart in the competitive job market after your service year.”
Mandatory Action Items for Personnel
-
Workplace Application: Demonstrate immediate improvement in attendance, task execution, and professional conduct across all posting stations.
-
July Validation: Complete and submit signed July Evaluation Forms to station supervisors ahead of the upcoming validation deadline.
-
Departmental Engagement: Actively engage HODs and supervisors for constructive feedback on monthly performance.
