DISASTER EDUCATION AND SENSITIZATION – NADMO, ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Adansi South District Office, continues to intensify public education and sensitization on disaster risk reduction across the district.

As part of its outreach programme, the District Director and Zonal Directors embarked on awareness creation on various disaster types, with special focus on domestic fires, bush fires, and commercial fire incidents. The initiative aims to educate the public on the causes, prevention, and proper response to fire-related emergencies.

In line with this effort, the district office also conducted an educational session at the African Faith Tabernacle Church, Bronikrom. The engagement focused on fire safety practices, emphasizing the importance of vigilance in homes, places of worship, and business environments to prevent fire outbreaks.

The session formed part of broader sensitization activities, which also include public education on the effects of domestic and bush fires on lives, property, and the environment. Participants were encouraged to adopt preventive measures and support community-based disaster preparedness efforts.

NADMO also previously engaged residents of Akutreso and other communities within the district to strengthen awareness and promote disaster risk reduction practices.

The Adansi South District NADMO Office reaffirmed its commitment to continuous education, stakeholder engagement, and community participation in building safer and more resilient communities across the district.
