DISASTER EDUCATION FOR PUPILS AT AKWA-ATWEREBOANA – NADMO, ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Adansi South District Office, conducted an educational outreach programme for pupils at Akwa-Atwereboana as part of its ongoing public sensitization efforts.

The session focused on creating awareness about common disasters, particularly domestic and bush fires, and educating pupils on basic safety and prevention measures. Students were taught how to identify potential fire hazards, respond appropriately during emergencies, and adopt safe practices both at school and at home.

The interactive engagement encouraged pupils to ask questions and actively participate, helping to deepen their understanding of disaster prevention and preparedness.

NADMO emphasized the importance of instilling safety awareness at an early age and encouraged the pupils to share the knowledge gained with their families and communities.

The initiative forms part of NADMO’s commitment to building disaster-resilient communities through continuous education and outreach across the Adansi South District.
