ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT AS PART OF ONGOING MONITORING AND EXTENSION SUPPORT ACTIVITIES BY THE AGRICULTURE DEPARTMENT OF THE DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

FIELD VISIT TO TONKOASE – ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT

A field visit was undertaken to Tonkoase in the Adansi South District as part of ongoing monitoring and extension support activities by the Agriculture Department of the District Assembly.

The visit aimed to assess farming activities within the community, engage farmers on current production challenges, and provide technical advice to improve agricultural productivity. Officers interacted with local farmers and observed crop conditions in the field, with emphasis on good agronomic practices, pest and disease management, and soil health improvement.

Farmers were encouraged to adopt improved farming methods and take advantage of extension services to enhance yields and ensure sustainable food production. The team also used the opportunity to strengthen communication between farmers and agricultural officers for timely support and intervention.

The Agriculture Department reaffirmed its commitment to supporting farming communities like Tonkoase through regular field visits, capacity building, and continued technical assistance to promote food security and rural development in the district.
