DISASTER EDUCATION FOR FARMERS AT SUBRISO – NADMO, ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY
The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Adansi South District Office, carried out a sensitization exercise for farmers at Subriso as part of its ongoing disaster risk reduction programmes.
The engagement focused on educating farmers on common disaster risks affecting agricultural activities, particularly bush fires, domestic fires, and weather-related hazards. Farmers were taken through practical measures to prevent fire outbreaks on farmlands, safely manage agricultural activities during dry seasons, and protect crops and property.
The session also emphasized the importance of early preparedness, safe land management practices, and community cooperation in reducing disaster risks.
Farmers were encouraged to remain vigilant and adopt recommended safety measures to safeguard their livelihoods.
NADMO reaffirmed its commitment to continuous engagement with farming communities to enhance awareness, promote safety, and build resilience against disasters in the Adansi South District.
