NADMO Leverages Local Information Centers for Widespread Community Fire Safety Campaign
To ensure critical disaster prevention messages reach every corner of the district, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Directorate of the Adansi South District Assembly expanded its mass public education drive by broadcasting through three (3) local community information centers.
This broadcast campaign complements field operations under the Operation Stop the Fire Disaster (#OSFiD) initiative, utilizing community radio setup points to broadcast clear, actionable advice on preventing Domestic, Bush, and Commercial Fires.

The broadcast series allowed the NADMO team to address local residents directly during peak morning and evening listening hours:

Domestic Fire Safety: Educating households on preventing kitchen fires, managing LPG gas cylinders safely, avoiding overloaded multi-socket adaptors, and extinguishing charcoal fires completely before retiring at night.

Commercial & Market Awareness: Reminding traders at the New Edubiase Market and surrounding commercial hubs against illegal electrical wiring, unmonitored cooking in stalls, and obstructing market access walkways.

Preventing Bush & Farm Fires: Warning farmers, hunters, and palm wine tappers across rural communities against uncontrolled bush burning, while emphasizing the mandatory creation of firebelts around farmlands.
