NADMO MONITORS SMALL-SCALE MINING ACTIVITIES AT DOMEBRA
The Adansi South Directorate of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) undertook a monitoring exercise at Domebra to assess ongoing small-scale mining activities within the area.
The exercise aimed to verify whether miners were complying with safety and environmental requirements, particularly the covering of excavated pits to prevent accidents and environmental degradation.
During the inspection, it was observed that efforts were being made by operators to reclaim and restore the land, with works ongoing to prepare the area for plantation.
