ADANSI SOUTH DISRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER AND THANKSGIVING

In conformity with the presidential directives issued by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, proclaiming July 1st as a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, the Adansi South District Assembly successfully organised its own edition of the event. The ceremonial proceedings, optly themed “Reflect, Reset, and Renewal for national prosperity; were held at the New Edubiase Methodist Church for the Christian community, while the Muslim community convened at the Zongo Chief’s premises in New Edubiase.

 

The convocation aimed to collectively solicit divine guidance and articulate national gratitude to the Almighty for His benevolence and providential care over the nation.  The occasion was distinguished by the presence of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Oheneba Kobena Andoh, who delivered the inaugural address and elucidated the significance of the day. He stressed on the imperativeness of unity, National harmony, patrotism and recalibrated mindset as a pivotal catalyst for Ghana’s advancement.

 

The ceremony featured a succession of heartfelt prayers, guided by the prominent Christian leaders, Chief Imam and the Traditional authorities, who invoked divine blessings upon the president and his cabinet, economic revitalization, National harmony, and the health and prosperity of the Ghanaian people.

 

The program convened a diverse assemblage of stakeholders, encompassing Clergy, traditional authorities, departmental heads, assembly members, ecclesiastical representatives and the general populace. The convergence of these groups embodied a unified commitment to the national appeal for spiritual reflections.

 

The commemoration of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving within the Adansi South District Assembly was marked by an atmosphere of serenity and triumph. It highlighted the importance of examining our responsibilities us Ghanaians, readjusting our approach, and reaffirming our dedication to the nation’s progress and well-being.
