ADANSI SOUTH CELEBRATES 65TH INDEPENDENCE DAY IN A GRAND STYLE

The Adansi South District Assembly on Sunday 6th March, 2022, joined the rest of Ghana to celebrate the 65th Independence Day at the New Edubiase Senior High School Park. The event was marked by colourful cultural display by the New Edubiase Cultural group. The celebration was graced by the New Edubiase Traditional Council, Sarking Zongo, the religious leaders (Local Council of Churches and Chief Imam), Stakeholders, Assembly Members, Heads of Department, Political Parties, Security Agencies, participating schools and spectators. The DCE, Hon. Francis K. Ankomah, in his address, thanked all stakeholders who made it possible for event to be held. He thanked the participating schools for making it to the event. He also thanked the organizing committee for a world organized event. He used the opportunity to urge the people to rally support behind the government in unity whilst the government puts economic measures in place to revamp the economic from its current state because of Covid-19 pandemic. he was optimistic that the country will bounce back strongly to relief economic hardships from the citizenry. He entreated the participating schools to match pass well to win prizes.
