MONITORING OF TRANSPLANTED FIELDS AT ADANSI KUMASI
A field monitoring exercise was carried out at Adansi Kumasi in the Adansi South District by officers from the Agriculture Department of the District Assembly.
The visit focused on assessing the condition and performance of transplanted crops in the area, with emphasis on field establishment, crop survival rate, and general farm management practices. The team inspected the farms and engaged farmers on key issues affecting crop development.
Farmers were advised to strengthen field maintenance practices, including regular weeding, proper spacing management, timely application of fertilizers, and monitoring for pests and diseases to ensure healthy crop growth and improved yields.
The exercise also provided technical support and guidance aimed at addressing identified challenges and promoting sustainable agricultural production within the community.
The Agriculture Department reaffirmed its commitment to continuous monitoring, farmer support, and extension service delivery to enhance agricultural productivity and livelihoods in Adansi Kumasi and the wider district.
