In line with the Adansi South District Assembly’s commitment to promoting Ghanaian arts and heritage across both public and private basic schools, the District Culture Unit, led by District Cultural Officer Mavis Asamoah, conducted an official monitoring and guidance visit to Future Academy School.
The visit forms part of the Culture Unit’s broader district-wide initiative to evaluate, mentor, and strengthen school cultural troupes, ensuring that private educational institutions are equally integrated into local cultural development and talent discovery programs.

During the engagement at Future Academy School, Mavis Asamoah and the cultural assessment team met with school management, patron teachers, and members of the student cultural troupe:

Performance Evaluation and Rehearsal Guidance: The team observed the school troupe’s live rehearsals, providing expert technical feedback on traditional drumming patterns, choreography, vocal control, and stage presentation for dances such as Adowa and Kete.

Cultural Authenticity and Costuming: Guidance was given on using authentic traditional regalia, beads, and musical instruments, emphasizing the cultural significance and history behind each performance piece.
