New Edubiase, Ashanti Region – In a major step toward promoting women’s health and early disease detection, the Adansi South District Assembly, in partnership with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), has announced a massive Breast Cancer Awareness Creation and Free Screening exercise.
The public health event will take place at the New Edubiase Community Centre.
This intensive health campaign aims to educate the public on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, dispel common myths surrounding the disease, and provide free, professional clinical breast examinations to all residents.
Health authorities emphasize that breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women in Ghana, yet early detection through regular screening saves lives. This initiative follows a series of recent aggressive public health interventions by the Adansi South District Assembly and the GHS to strengthen community-level healthcare delivery.
The Adansi South District Assembly and traditional leaders warmly invite all women, young girls, and the general public within New Edubiase and surrounding neighborhoods to take advantage of this free medical service.
