Hon. Oheneba kobena Andoh, the newly appointed District Chief Executive [DCE] of the Adansi South District Assembly, on 22nd &25th May, 2025, held an engagement sitting with the heads of department, Institutions and general staff of the District Assembly at the District Assembly Hall. The meeting, which was well-engaged by departmental and institutional heads and the general staff, was an introductory and interactive forum for the DCE to familiarized himself with staff and to know the challenges confronting the district.
Hon. Oheneba Kobena Andoh, in his welcoming address, expressed acknowledgement for the reception and the support he had received since assuming office. He stated the need to put away our political differences and ensure working together as a team to build and develop the district in all capacity. He also emphasized his commitment to inclusive leadership, transparency, accountability and to establish an open and collaborative relationship with all staff.
Open discussions allowed staff members to raise some pressing challenges facing their various departments and institutions. Some issues raised wereꓽ lack of accommodation for staff, lack of logistics and working tools, insufficient office space, limited staff strength and lack of vehicles for field operations. Staff also took the opportunity to appreciate the DCE for engaging the staff and pledge their full support to his administration.
In response, Hon. Oheneba Kobena Andoh appreciated the concerns and assured staff that he had taken key note of all issues raised. He pledged to work closely with the district coordinating director and relevant authorities to address the logistical and infrastructural gaps. He also reiterated the imperativeness of working together as a team to drive development for the district.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Nkansah Haruna Hussein, in his closing remarks, thanked the DCE and staff for their participation and urged for continued cooperation and professionalism in all areas of work.
