The Adansi South Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) organized its segment of the National Quiz Competition on the 1992 Constitution within the quarter. The competition was aimed at promoting constitutional awareness and encouraging the study of the Constitution among basic school pupils.
The event, which brought together five (5) basic schools, was held at the Methodist Church auditorium on Friday, 7th March, 2025. The participating schools were St. John the Baptist R/C Junior High School, Future Assurance Academy, Experimental Junior High School, Methodist Junior High School, and Hidaayatul Islamia Junior High School.
The keenly contested competition was eventually won by Future Assurance Academy, emerging victorious by a narrow margin of just one point. They were followed by St. John the Baptist R/C JHS, Experimental JHS, Hidaayatul Islamia JHS, and Methodist JHS respectively.
Each of the fifteen (15) contestants received exercise books and pens, while all participants and their schools were awarded certificates in recognition of their participation and effort.
In his welcome address, the District Director of the NCCE, Mr. Charles Gyimah, stated that the competition was designed to instill in pupils the interest in studying the 1992 Constitution. He emphasized that this would empower them to understand their rights and responsibilities as responsible citizens of Ghana.
The NCCE Adansi South Directorate continues to promote civic education through such initiatives to strengthen constitutional awareness among the youth and build informed future citizens.
