The Adansi South District Assembly led by the Agric Department visited rice farm as part of its monitoring exercise. The visit was to find out how the farmers were applying the technologies taught them during the previous visits.

ASDA UNDERTAKES CLIMATE CHANGE EDUCATION
The climate change sensitization committee of the Adansi South District Assembly took to the Radio station its Sensitization on climate change under the green project. The team was led by the Director of Social Welfare and Community Development. The team educated the populace about activities leading to changes in climate.
ASDA CONDUCTS EDUCATION ON CLIMATE CHANGE
The Adansi South District Assembly conducts education on climate change. This programme is being led by department of Social Welfare and Community Development and supported by the District Planning Officer.
GHANA HEALTH SERVICE CONDUCTS HEALTH SCREENING
The Ghana Health Service took advantage of the farmers’ day celebration to conduct health screening for participants.
ASDA CONDUCTS TRAINING FOR STAFF
ASDA led by the Human Resource Management Department conducted a one day capacity building for staff. The training was on Local Government Service protocols (Local Governance Act 2016, Act 936)
ASDA PROCURES SANITARY ITEMS
The District Chief Executive for the Adansi South District procured and distributed sanitary items to Assembly Members. The items ranged from Wheelbarrow, pickaxes, cutlass and shovel.
DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND COMMUNTIY DEVELOPMENT MONITORED PEOPLE WITH (PWD)
The Department of Social Welfare and Community Development monitored the activities of People with Disabilities (PWD). The monitoring exercise was to seek the use of the items distributed to them. It was also to seek the welfare of the PWDs.
ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING.
The Adansi south District Assembly as required by Local Governance Act 2016 Act 936 held its executive committee meeting on Tuesday 6th December, 2022. The meeting deliberated on sub-committees’ reports and made recommendations for the approval of general assembly.
ADANSI SOUTH CELEBRATES 38TH FARMERS’ DAY
The Adansi South District Assembly joined the rest of Ghana to celebrate the 38th farmers’ day. The District level celebration took place at Adansi Wuruyie. In all, 14 farmers were awarded. The price arranges from Tricycle Motor bike to Liquid Soap. The best District Farmer was Kwaku Ampofo.
