ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS ORIENTATION PROGRAM FOR NEWLY POSTED NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL

The Adansi South District Secretariat of the National Service Scheme (NSS), in collaboration with the Adansi South District Assembly, has conducted a comprehensive one-day orientation and capacity-building session for the newly posted National Service Personnel (NSP).

The orientation, held at the District Assembly Conference Hall in New Edubiase, aimed to prepare young graduates for the professional work environment, familiarize them with public sector work ethics, and align them with the strategic goals of local governance and community development.

Key Highlights and Operational Directives

During the workshop, district heads and NSS officials provided crucial operational guidance across several key areas:

  • Work Ethics and Professional Conduct: Personnel were urged to maintain strict discipline, punctuality, and professionalism across all posted departments—including Health, Education, Administration, Planning, and IT. The Human Resource unit emphasized modesty, transparency, and submissiveness to institutional leadership.

  • Deployment for Employment & Capacity Building: Officials reiterated the Scheme’s vision of equipping personnel with practical skills beyond routine duties. NSPs were encouraged to take initiative, learn inter-departmental operations, and view their service period as a bridge to formal employment.

  • Validation and Monthly Allowances: The NSS District Director outlined the validation protocols, emphasizing the proper filling and timely submission of Monthly Evaluation Forms. Personnel were reminded that delayed evaluation submissions directly impact monthly allowance processing.

  • Security & Community Engagement: Personnel were advised to respect local customs, maintain personal safety, and serve as positive ambassadors for the Adansi South District.

Commitment to Youth Empowerment

Addressing the gathering, the District Coordinating Director (DCD), on behalf of the District Chief Executive (DCE), welcomed the personnel and assured them of the Assembly’s continuous support throughout their tenure.

“National Service is not merely a yearly formality, but a key platform to build character, gain public sector experience, and directly contribute to rural development. We expect you to bring fresh perspectives, energy, and innovation to your respective departments.”

The orientation concluded with an interactive Q&A session where personnel received clarity on accommodation, departmental postings, and NSS portal navigation.
