TRAINING AND CAPACITY BUILDING

As part of efforts to enhance staff capacity and improve operational efficiency, the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) undertook a series of training programmes for its personnel across the Ashanti Region.

The Regional Director organized a training exercise for newly appointed Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Directors and their Deputies at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Kumasi, as a form of induction into the Organisation. The training equipped participants with the necessary knowledge on NADMO’s mandate, operational procedures, and disaster management strategies.

In addition, an Emergency Medical Training programme was organized by the Regional Director in collaboration with the Ghana Ambulance Service for all NADMO staff in the Ashanti Region. The Adansi South team participated in this training, which took place at the Bekwai Municipal on 11th December, 2025.

The training focused on basic emergency response, first aid, and life-saving techniques to enhance staff readiness in handling disaster situations.

These initiatives demonstrate NADMO’s commitment to continuous capacity building and professional development, aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness and response across the district and the region at large.
