NCCE SUSTAINS CIVIC EDUCATION CAMPAIGN AT GLORY FM AHEAD OF ELECTIONS
As part of efforts to deepen civic awareness and promote responsible citizenship, the Adansi South Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) extended its public education campaign to Glory FM 89.7 at New Edubiase.
The same civic messages delivered to students of the New Edubiase Home Economics Department—focused on the duties of citizens as outlined in Article 41 of the 1992 Constitution—were consistently shared with the general public through the radio station.
The radio engagement, which ran continuously until the election day, aimed at reaching a wider audience within the district. Key issues discussed included the need for citizens to uphold the Constitution, respect the rights of others, protect public property, and contribute to peaceful and credible elections.
Listeners were encouraged to be law-abiding, avoid acts of violence, and actively participate in the electoral process in a responsible and peaceful manner. The programme also highlighted the importance of tolerance, unity, and national cohesion before, during, and after the elections.
The initiative formed part of the NCCE’s mandate to educate citizens on their civic responsibilities and to promote democratic values across the country.
The Adansi South NCCE Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to continuous public education, using both schools and media platforms to ensure that citizens are well-informed and actively involved in national development.
