CIVIC EDUCATION ON ENVIRONMENTAL GOVERNANCE – NCCE, ADANSI SOUTH DISTRICT DIRECTORATE
The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Adansi South District Directorate, organized an educational session at Apagya Senior High School as part of its ongoing civic engagement programmes.
The District Director, Mr. Charles Gyimah, led the session and educated students on environmental governance. The programme focused on the roles and responsibilities of citizens, especially the youth, in protecting and managing the environment for sustainable development.
Key topics covered included environmental responsibility, proper waste management, protection of natural resources, and the importance of civic participation in environmental decision-making. Students were also encouraged to adopt good environmental practices both in school and within their communities.
The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and share ideas, helping to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and civic duties.
The NCCE Adansi South Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to continuous civic education and sensitization programmes aimed at building responsible citizenship and promoting sustainable environmental management in the district.
