The District Security council (DISEC) led by the District Chief Executive, having heard of galamsey activities in the District decided to visit these communities kyeremebabi, Acheasewa and Deyano. The team realized that illegal mining activities were taking place at these communities visited. The galamseyers upon seeing the taskforce, run away. The taskforce burnt down their machines, tools and equipments they use in the illegal mining activities.
