The Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the Adansi South District were presented with various items and support on the 1st of June, 2022. A durbar was organised at the forecourt of the Adansi South District Assembly and the District Chief Executive, Hon. Francis Ankomah presented Twenty-five (25) PWDs beneficiaries with income-generating items.
The items consisted of seven (7) Fridges, three (3) Deep Freezers, a set of carpentry tools, four (4) Fufu Pounding machines, one (1) Sewing machine, two (2) Industrial machines, two (2) Cocoa Spraying machines, two (2) packets of roofing sheets, ten (10) bags of cement, two (2) bundles of T&J, Phone accessories, Fridge Gauge, Oxygen Porch, and Glow Torch.
In all, a total number of fifty-one (51) registered PWDs members received support from the District. Twenty-five (25) of them benefited from various income-generating items, fourteen (14) benefited from educational support and twelve (12) benefited from medical support.
